CBSE Timetable Delay for 2027 Exams
Students of Classes 10 and 12 are still waiting for the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to announce the tentative examination timetable for 2027. The lack of a schedule has prompted questions from students, parents, and schools.
LOC Submission Deadline
With the deadline for submitting the List of Candidates (LOC) over, students are awaiting the next step in the examination preparation process. The LOC submission for the 2026-27 academic session began on September 24, 2026.
Previous Timetable Release Patterns
Last year, CBSE released the tentative datesheet for Classes 10 and 12 on September 24, 2025, followed by the final schedule on October 30, 2025. This was 146 days before the examinations began. The datesheet for 2025 was released on November 20, 2024.
Factors Affecting the Delay
The delay is partly due to the need to account for students awaiting results from special examinations conducted for Class 12 students in West Asian countries, which concluded on October 28, 2026. CBSE has not yet indicated how this may impact the datesheet release.
Where to Find Information
The CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 datesheet will be available on the official website at cbse.gov.in once it is released. Students are encouraged to utilize the sample question papers and marking schemes released for the 2026-27 academic session to continue their preparations.
